The Basics. Everything creative relies on the basics. Really, it’s everywhere if you look. All fashionistas know that a truly perfect closet must have those staple garments, the same goes for design.
I need those solid furniture pieces I talked about in the last installment of our decoration diy. See, I’m a thrifty girl. I find bargains, and steals, and ways to save major cash when it comes to creative flair. It’s difficult to do that with a good piece of furniture. I had problems with this. What do you mean you can’t sell me this old antique farmhouse table for 30 bucks?! : ) Hardly.
I’m not big about dropping lots of dough at once, but as you can see I just couldn’t let some of these core pieces fly off the shelves without landing in my backseat.
Close up shots of my new finds..
My new green chair!! Ps.. those are screen prints in the chair.. we will be discussing those later!
My new desk! Just the corner.. I barely had room to step back and take this picture. Don’t judge me.
Crates, crates, crates galore!! You will be seeing this very soon in a decor diy..

Here’s how my progress looks so far. You might ask why I didn’t move everything out before I moved the furniture in?! Well, I’m not normal that’s why.. and I’m impatient. So I just got so excited that I moved in my new furniture admist everything else. It’s okay though, people. I have faith here…
Post-euphoria from so much antiquing, and I’ve got a lot of work to do!! I’m so pumped about getting more posts to you all documenting my progress! The next post will focus on cubbies and shelving. Suh-weet. I like extra space.
